David & Samuel 6 began as Anne Reid Artist’s prophetic abstract acrylic painting David & Samuel, a 24 x 24 inch work exploring the relationship between the prophet Samuel and King David, and the anointing that flows from divine calling.

For this edition, Anne selected a cropped detail from the original, bringing focus to a poignant section of the composition where form, gesture, and light converge. The palette has been recoloured, introducing vibrant blue tones with flashes of green, red, and gold to create a contemporary energy while maintaining the spiritual essence of the original.

This artwork has also been reimagined as a digital rework, with the artist using a digital brush to layer fresh movement, light, and texture over the original image. The result is a new piece in its own right—clearly labeled with its creation year and source—crafted to suit both intimate home spaces and modern hospitality settings.

As with other adaptations in the David & Samuel series, this piece aligns with Anne’s Collector Integrity Statement, ensuring clarity of origin and intent.
