What Is “Prophetic Art”? (And How I Create a Commission with You)
Short version: I make highly personal, story-driven art for your space. I begin with colour and movement; the image resolves as I work. Some clients describe this as “prophetic”; others prefer “intuitive.” Either way, the result is a painting that feels like it belongs in your life.
For Collectors of Any Belief: How the Experience Feels
- Collaborative: We talk about your room, light, palette, and the feeling you want the space to carry.
- Site-specific: I size to your wall and furniture; I coordinate with your designer if you have one.
- Intuitive process: I start with colour fields and movement; forms emerge as the work develops.
- Meaningful outcome: The finished piece becomes a visual anchor—calm, joy, courage, or celebration—tailored to you.
Commission Steps (Clear & Simple)
- Discovery call (15–20 min): Room photos, rough measurements, palette notes.
- Proposal: Size, materials, timeline, and quote. A deposit reserves your slot.
- Palette preview: I share a colour direction and placement mock for scale/fit.
- Creation: Painting begins. I work in layers; the image resolves organically.
- Checkpoint: One midpoint update for alignment on mood and intensity.
- Finishing: Varnish/seal, hardware, delivery or installation guidance.
Materials & Options
- Originals on canvas or paper mounted to panel.
- Framing guidance on request (designer-friendly profiles).
- Humidity-aware choices for baths/spas (metal/acrylic when appropriate).
About Language: “Prophetic” vs “Intuitive”
Many of my collectors are not religious. When I say “prophetic,” I’m describing where my creativity begins: I listen, I pay attention, and I respond in paint. If you prefer, think of it as a deeply intuitive, purpose-driven process aimed at making a piece that resonates with you and suits your space. You don’t need to share my faith to enjoy the art or the experience.
For Faith-Forward Collectors (Optional Read)
When invited, I pray over a commission and ask the Holy Spirit for colour, movement, and meaning. I often begin with a verse or theme and let the composition emerge as I work. This is what I mean by “prophetic art”—creating with God so the finished work carries encouragement, peace, or strength. If this language isn’t your preference, the creative quality and care remain the same.
